Week 13

The theme this week is again "WAITING FOR A SAVIOR."

When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son. ...
   - Galatians 4:4

Check out this stuff:

Amazed Shepherd

The Christmas story often had angels announcing great things. Help these angels get Galatians 4:4 right when they visit some shepherds in this game.

Mary

People waited for *sooo long* for the One God said would come. The wait was almost over! Watch our Bible story told in this video: "The Angel Gabriel Visits Mary".

Christmas Tree

Do you remember that Mr. Jon was LATE for GROW and we had to wait for him? He said he was making us a paper Christmas tree, and he showed it to us, with a light underneath it to light it up and make it beautiful.

Maybe you would like to make the same kind of paper tree! Here are some instructions that you can follow. It's a little like making a paper snowflake (like we did LAST week), but the folding is a bit different, so be sure to follow the instructions carefully for the best results.

Stuffed Lion

¡Feliz Navidad! (That's "Merry Christmas" in Spanish!) We found out that the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes you packed are headed to Central and South America where many children speak Spanish! This week, please pray to God for the child who will receive your shoebox, that God would give them a Merry Christmas and would help him or her to learn more about Jesus. Do you think that they have a Wednesday night children's program where they can learn more about Jesus and His love for us?

Samaritan's Purse made a fun kid's video about a stuffed lion and a girl named Lola who receives him in a shoebox. It is not real of course, but what is real is that there are many kids who live a lot like Lola does in the story.

Next GROW:

The next GROW meeting will be on January 13, 2021.

See you next year! Until then, remember that God is BIG and that He loves you very much.
